Life Lately: Starting Fresh, Building Again & Enjoying the Little Things
Starting fresh in life has looked a lot like rebuilding for me lately.
If I had to describe this chapter in three words, they would be repair, regain, and refresh.
Repairing some of what I’ve lost along the way. Regaining my confidence, my voice, and parts of myself that changed after becoming a mom. And refreshing the way I approach my life, relationships, finances, family, and the things I’m building.
I feel like I’m finally stepping into a fresh start—and I’m actually excited about it.
Starting Fresh in Life
So much about my outlook on life has changed over the last couple of years. I’m rebuilding my brand, being more intentional with money, paying closer attention to my community, and being much more mindful about what—and who—gets access to me.
But one of the biggest changes has been how I show up for myself.
I’m learning to give myself permission to start over without feeling like I’ve failed. For years, I put so much pressure on myself to be at a certain place by a certain age, and ironically, that pressure kept me stuck.
Now I have a little one watching me. I want him to grow up knowing that starting over is okay. Sometimes starting again is exactly how you finally get it right.
What My Days Look Like Lately
My days are pretty simple right now, and I actually love that.
I’ve been trying to get myself together in the mornings first so I can show up well for my family. Then I get my little one ready, we work through his learning and daily routine—and lately, potty training has entered the chat.
During nap time, I try to squeeze in work on my business. My blog and website have been taking up most of my creative energy lately, and I’ve also started creating UGC.
Outside of work, I’ve been enjoying old shows and movies, spending time with the people I love, reading, and making things from scratch. My current baking rotation includes chewy salted chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip oatmeal bars, and snickerdoodles.
And most days you’ll catch me in a cute athletic set or loungewear because if I’m going to be home, I’m going to be comfortable and cute.

What I’m Building Right Now
My website and blog have been my biggest projects lately, and I’m so excited to finally share more of my voice.
There are so many questions I’ve had throughout different seasons of womanhood, and I’m sure other women have wondered some of the same things.
I want this space to feel like something I would’ve wanted to find myself—a place where we can talk about life, faith, style, womanhood, the fun stuff, and the figuring-it-out stuff too.
5 Little Things Making Me Happy
1. My Bible. I’ve been gaining a new understanding of passages I’ve read my entire life, and there’s something beautiful about familiar Scripture speaking to you differently in a new season.
2. My husband and son. My little family continues to be one of my biggest motivations.
3. My iPad. Seriously. It’s one of the main tools I use to build my business, and she has been WORKING lately.
4. Doing life with my best friend. Having someone to experience everyday life alongside is something I don’t take for granted.
5. My library card. I’ve developed such a love for reading lately, so the library has become one of my favorite little things.
What I’m Looking Forward To
FALL. Easily my favorite time of year.
I love planning and hosting things just for fun, especially fall parties and girls’ nights. I’m also excited about getting dressed again and feeling more like myself in this new season of motherhood.
And, of course, I’m looking forward to launching this blog, creating new content, checking things off the goals my husband and I have made together, and continuing to rebuild.
There is a lot I’m excited about.
And through all of it, I’m learning to trust God while building the life and business I’ve been praying for. Life isn’t perfectly put together over here, but there are a lot of little things I’m grateful for and a lot I’m looking forward to. For now, starting fresh in life looks like enjoying where I am while continuing to build what’s next.
